How it started
Hey, I'm Akarsh.
What started in September 2024 as a simple search for a custom split keyboard quickly turned into something much bigger.
After coming off a two-and-a-half-year journey at a startup that eventually shut down, I dove deep into building something of my own. I taught myself PCB design from scratch, worked with firmware like ZMK on microcontrollers, and spent hours refining 3D-printed cases to get the perfect feel and sound.
But the deeper I got, the more obvious one thing became: getting a high-quality split keyboard in India was unnecessarily difficult.
From personal project to real demand
Once I had my own build ready, I started engaging with the IMKC community.
There were a lot of people who wanted split keyboards but didn't have the time, tools, or technical knowledge to build one themselves.
So I started building for them.
In the first four months alone, over 30 custom keyboards were sold. That's when this stopped being just a project.
